Gwendolyn “Gwenna” Ihrie is a College Success Advisor at The SEED Foundation. Gwenna serves as a resource for SEED graduates and assists them with the academic, financial, and personal challenges associated with college enrollment and success. Gwenna’s interest in education began to grow after working in the admissions office as a student at Grinnell College. After earning her bachelor’s degree in political science from Grinnell College, she spent two years providing educational enrichment and college access support to high school students as an AmeriCorps volunteer at the Schuler Scholar Program in northern Illinois. Her interest in politics brought her to Washington D.C. to work in health care policy before she joined The SEED Foundation. In her spare time, Gwenna enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring D.C.’s many museums.
