School Leadership Bios
Charles Adams is head of school at The SEED School of Washington, D.C. He joined SEED in 2007 and he brings a collaborative, student-centered approach and a proven ability to dramatically improve school achievement. He formerly served as principal of Middle School 313/Satellite West in Brooklyn, New York, where he successfully cultivated a positive culture and focus on academic achievement; he is also an alumnus of the New Leaders for New Schools principal training program, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Howard University School of Law.
Keisha Goode is assistant to the head of school at The SEED School of Washington, D.C. Keisha received a bachelor’s degree in English and Communication from the University of Maryland at College Park and a master’s degree in higher education administration and women’s studies at The George Washington University. Currently, she is pursuing a graduate certificate in Family Literacy from Penn State University. Prior to joining SEED, Keisha taught sixth grade language arts in Baltimore City through the Teach for America program.
Kimberly Harrison is director of finance at The SEED School of Washington, D.C. Kim earned a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a certified public accountant with over ten years experience in the field of accountancy. She has worked as an accountant at Ernst & Young LLP, Marriott International, the Securities and Exchange Commission, Black Entertainment Television and the National Institutes of Health and more. Kim is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Mecha Inman is director of admissions, parent and community relations at The SEED School where she oversees recruitment for the School’s annual lottery and promotes opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s experience at SEED. Mecha has over a decade of experience working in education at nonprofit organizations in Baltimore City and New York City. Prior to joining SEED, Mecha served as director of admissions for Sandy Spring Friends School in Sandy Spring, Maryland. Mecha received a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Williams College and a master’s in education from Regent University.
Robin Lewis is the development manager of The SEED School. She is responsible for fundraising on behalf of the school and working with SEED’s community partners to identify educational and enriching opportunities for students. Prior to joining SEED, Robin worked at The Alford Group, a resource development consulting firm, and has worked at several nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas. Robin received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Wake Forest University and a master of public policy from Georgetown University.
Marsha McIntyre is the human resources manager of The SEED School of Washington, D.C. Marsha received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in human resource management from Towson University and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Howard University School of Business. Marsha also has a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Prior to joining SEED, Marsha worked for Unity Health Care, Inc., where she served as human resources assistant, human resources generalist and eventually assistant director of human resources. In addition, she worked for World Resources Institute as a human resources generalist. Marsha is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Black MBA Association.
Lesley Poole is director of student life at The SEED School of Washington, D.C., and oversees the after-school and boarding program at SEED.
Kerry Richardson is director of college and career services at The SEED School. Kerry supports students during the college preparation and admission process. Kerry joined SEED in 2002 to offer guidance to SEED’s first graduating class, the Class of 2004. Kerry holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and German from Douglass College of Rutgers University and a master's degree from The George Washington University. Additionally, Kerry received an education specialist’s degree in education leadership from the University of Virginia, as well as certification in administration and leadership. She has an extensive background in providing college and career instruction and comprehensive academic and social guidance to multi-ethnic students in grades nine through twelve.
Nicole Richardson is assistant principal at The SEED School of Washington, D.C. Nicole received a bachelor’s of science in elementary education from Delaware State University, a master’s degree in education from National-Louis University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Leadership at Bowie State University. She started her career as a teacher in northern Virginia public schools and District of Columbia Public Schools and has experience teaching Spanish immersion and acting as the ELL coordinator and parent liaison. Most recently, Nicole has worked in D.C. charter schools as a teacher, curriculum specialist/instructional coach and assistant principal. She was nominated in 2000 as a M.A.C (Major Achievements in Charter) Teacher of the Year. She is currently a leader, National Delegate and Trainer for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital.
Kara Stacks is the principal of The SEED School of Washington, D.C. and oversees the school’s academic programming. Kara is a native Washingtonian who received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a concentration in Secondary Education from Rhodes College. She completed her graduate work at Johns Hopkins University and received a master’s degree in School Administration and Supervision. Kara has taught at both the elementary and high school levels and has been recognized and awarded for her teaching by the Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Most recently she completed her coursework and residency year with New Leaders for New Schools where she acted as a Resident Principal at a local charter high school.
Erika Woods is the director of student support services at The SEED School. Her responsibilities include coordinating local partnerships that yield additional opportunities for SEED students. She also helps shape and support the vision for Mental and Medical Health Services, the College and Career Center, and the Athletic Department. Prior to joining SEED, Erika served as research associate at The Education Trust. She has also served as project leader for a study in Boston Public Schools and coordinated the Freedom Schools sites in the Philadelphia Public Schools. Erika received a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and a master’s in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
