Adler-Vinnakota Student Center
The Adler-Vinnakota Student Center is the newest building on SEED's campus and is at the core of daily life. The building, opened in 2003, houses the SEED dining room, commercial kitchen, gymnasium/auditorium, weight room, performance/rehearsal studio, student meeting room, student snack kitchen, computer cluster, admissions office, parent resource center and central welcome center. In the main lobby, students manage a small retail store. Student and school awards, recognitions and history are also on display in the Adler-Vinnakota Student Center.
Before a meal or sports practice, students meet at the Adler-Vinnakota Student Center to catch up on their day and relax with their peers. During tutoring and study times, the student meeting room is used for small group work. At other times, students may reserve the room to visit with friends, host a coffee house or watch a movie. The gymnasium is busy from dawn to late evening, with basketball games, volleyball team practices, intramural competitions and athletic study breaks. The stage hosts weekly assemblies, choir concerts, theatrical performances, poetry readings and inspirational speakers.
The Adler-Vinnakota Student Center includes:
- Three stories, 26,000 square feet, including athletic, dining and student meeting space, the admissions office and main security office
- Large picture windows in all classrooms and most offices
- Full T-1 Internet access in all rooms Security card access, plus extensive camera coverage of campus exterior
- Artwork, including many original pieces by SEED students
- Dining patio and integrated landscaping to bring the outdoors inside
