Ways to Give

The SEED Foundation welcomes donations of all sizes and in many forms. One hundred percent of your contribution will help SEED students. Gifts are tax-deductible as provided by both federal and state tax laws for each year in which payments are made. Gifts should be made in the name of The SEED Foundation and directed to the Development Office. The donor may extend payments on commitments over a period of time.

  • Cash: Cash gifts are the most common form of support and entitle the donor to an income tax charitable deduction in the year in which the gift was made. Checks should be made payable to The SEED Foundation and sent to Development Office, The SEED Foundation, 1776 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 600, Washington, D.C. 20036.

  • Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities provide substantial tax savings for the donor. Capital gains taxes are avoided and gifts are tax deductible at fair market value. For more information about the stock transfer process, contact Norisha Kirts at (202)785-4123, ext. 19 for instructions on how to give stock to the Foundation.
  • Matching Gifts: More than a thousand companies will match the charitable contributions of their employees, as well as spouses of employees and retired employees. These matches may be dollar-for-dollar or greater. Please check with your company's human resources department for a matching gift form, complete your brief section of the form and mail it with your gift. You will be recognized for the full amount of your own gift plus the corporate match.
  • Gifts in Honor or Memory: If you wish honor or remember someone special, make a gift to SEED!
  • United Way: If your workplace has a United Way Campaign, please consider designating The SEED Foundation as a recipient. The Foundation's CFC number is 48707.
